One proud rooster
"What's all the fuss about?"
So, me being me, I decided to wander outside to take a few pictures of my not so little babies. I'm happily snapping away when another hen, whom I had just put in the run last night, decides to lay me a nice egg for breakfast and then announce her pride to the world. She was making quite a ruckus in the coop and it was echoing off the walls nicely.
The Orpingtons who were used to a nice quiet laying hen, who just laid her egg and left it there silently, couldn't seem to figure out what all the fuss was about and clustered around the door to see what was going on. It was so comical I wish I would have had a video option to record it for you.
At least I finally was able to capture a picture of the whole gang together! She was so loud and noisy even the goats came to see what was going on.
Life on the farm is never dull.
I laughed out loud as I read your post! Looking after animals and watching their funny antics is the best job in the world! What a great start to your day!
ReplyDeleteYes I could say the same about humans.waste
DeleteGlo,
ReplyDeleteJust think about it, you don't have to pay someone to entertain you. You have live entertainment every day with the animals. There's never a dull moment with chickens or goats. And yes, they will keep you extremely busy too :-)
