He watched him dive bomb and grab at something (most likely a mouse) in the grass. He didn't seem happy to have missed.
He then spent some time perched on one of the fence posts.
Finally Mountain Man was able to take some shots of him flying high above. He was quite angry at him for disturbing his hunt and spent some time flying in circles and yelling at him from above.
I love this shot! He obviously decided to take a closer look at who was taking such an interest in him.
Then off he went! Beautiful!
This is also part of "Fridays Photo" on Your Gardening Friend.
Beautiful is right! Great pictures.

As far as power goes, considering that you've mentioned you most always have a stiff breeze, I would advice you to look into the home-made wind generator Earthship Biotechture has invented that is build completely with recycled materials.
Earthship biotechture is a company that specialized in off the grid homes that are build completely with recycled materials that are mostly free.
You can find info on their wind generator here: http://earthship.com/Systems/electricity.html
I've seen this generator in action when I visited their homesite in Toas earlier this winter, and it had a steady spin even though there was hardly a breeze to be found in the air.
Thank you Ishtar, I will look into it. :)
DeleteThanks so much for linking up on Friday's Photo! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos by your Mountain Man. I find it comical how the bird spent time circling Mountain Man, voicing his great displeasure for the hunting interuption. LOL. Great post. I'll be coming back to Off the Grid at 30 for future posts.
Hope to see you link up again real soon.
